COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES
We are able to provide assessments for level 3 and level 4 existing and new build commercial properties.
Energy Performance Certificates are required before marketing commences for the sale or lease of any commercial building. These need to be carried out by a qualified and accredited Non-domestic (Commercial) Energy Assessor.
The EPC provides an assessment of the properties heating, cooling , ventilation and lighting costs based upon the original designed purpose for the building.
Data is collected from the floor plans and a detailed and extensive survey of the building. The property size is recorded, together with the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, insulation natural and artificial lighting specifications. This data is used to provide the ratings, and recommendations are provided to improve upon the performance of the building.
New Commercial Properties require similar calculations established from the design drawings for the buildings, for submission to the local Building Control officer for their approval and to ensure that the building fully complies with the requirements of Part L2A of the building regulations.
